In spontaneity we had decided to spend the night on the trampoline, battling the gnawing chill of late-fall Wisconsin for the chance to see more stars than ever in a lifetime of hazy city nights.

I crawled out of my textile cocoon, making drunken steps toward the edge of the trampoline. After tossing my comforter over the two sleepers, I softly dropped onto the crystal

A nerd-tastic birthday cake for my friend Stephen. I made the candles myself--the funnest part! Just heated up some old wax in a tin can over the stove, old school style. I've decided that wax is an incredibly fun medium to play with. :)

German chocolate with a cream cheese frosting. It got a little roughed up on the trip up to Chicago, but hey, still tasted great.

I don't know how I do these things. I like start out on a whim, and they turn out pretty okay more often than not. :)
